Select Health has awarded $150,000 to 30 community organizations to address health needs across Idaho, Nevada, and Utah, according to a September 1 statement. The annual Select Health Awards program provides $5,000 to each recipient to support local efforts that strengthen communities.
The 2026 recipients focus on various social drivers of health, including food security, housing stability, educational opportunity, and preventive health services. The organizations also address support for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and programs that aid families and communities.
Rob Hitchcock, Select Health president and CEO, stated that health is shaped by many factors beyond medical care, such as access to safe housing, nutritious food, education, social support, and preventive services. Hitchcock noted that the recognized organizations help people build stronger foundations for health and create opportunities to thrive.
In Utah, the award recipients include the Brigham City Community Center with Senior Services, Building Youth Around the World, Hope Alliance, National Society for English Language Learners, Pantry to Porch, Playworks Utah, Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project, Tooele Education Foundation, Uintah Basin Association of Governments Community Services Department, and Youthlinc.
For nearly two decades, the Select Health Awards program has provided more than $1 million to community organizations in Idaho, Nevada, and Utah. The program recognizes organizations that help people access resources and services that contribute to better health outcomes.
