Edgemont has officially returned from spring break, marking the start of a week filled with various academic assessments and school programs.
Activities for the week of April 13 include several testing windows and scheduled school meetings.
The schedule for Monday, April 13, includes a 5th grade Hope of America practice at 3:20 pm and an Art Committee meeting at 3:30 pm.
On Tuesday, April 14, the school will host choir practice at 7:30 am, a PTA meeting at 9:00 am, and music share tryouts in the gym with Mrs. Heaton at 3:30 pm.
Testing is scheduled for mid-week, beginning with Kinder Acadience Reading testing on Wednesday, April 15. This is followed by 3rd-6th RISE ELA testing from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on both Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, April 17, make-up sessions for the RISE ELA testing will occur between 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
Additional events for the week include a Student council meeting on Wednesday at 11:00 am, an earthquake drill on Thursday at 1:15 pm, and an Edgemont Community Council meeting in the conference room on Friday at 7:30 am.
Friday also features a 26/27 Kindergarten Open House Information meeting from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Looking ahead, the school has several upcoming dates including 1st grade Acadience Reading testing on April 20 and an Edgemont Art Show on April 27. Other future events include BYU graduation on April 24, UVU graduation on April 29, and a 5th grade Hope of America dress rehearsal at the Marriott center on May 4.
