Weber State University is introducing 15 new academic offerings, adding to more than 250 certificate and degree programs designed to help students pursue their passions and prepare for fulfilling careers.
The new certificate offerings include fundamentals of accounting, an advanced accounting post-baccalaureate certificate, and a fully-online computed tomography certificate. Other certificates focus on construction management through the Building Puentes program, mammography, personal training, and radiologic technologist eligibility. Additionally, the university is offering certificates in substance use disorder to meet the growing demand for addiction treatment professionals in Utah.
The university is also expanding its degree options. New associate and bachelor's degrees include exercise and sport science, early childhood, neuroscience, occupational and environmental health and safety, and athletic coaching and leadership. For advanced studies, the university is introducing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering allows for specialization in areas such as aerospace and structures or dynamics, controls, robotics, and AI. The Master of Arts in Teaching combines coursework with supervised clinical classroom training, enabling candidates to earn a teaching license and master's degree simultaneously.
