America250 Utah is calling on the Provo community to record their volunteer service hours as part of the America Gives initiative. In the first three months of 2026, participants in Utah have recorded 62,340 hours of volunteer service.
America Gives is a nationwide program connected to the 250th anniversary of the United States. The initiative encourages schools, organizations, individuals, and communities to make 2026 a record-setting year for service. Nationally, more than 6 million volunteer hours have been recorded so far.
In Utah, service is being conducted in various forms. Notable participants and projects include the United Way of Utah County, Cedar Valley High School in Eagle Mountain, and projects located in Tooele and Garfield County. Individual efforts are also occurring within local neighborhoods, schools, and food pantries.
Through America250 Utah, residents are invited to honor founding values through civic engagement, unity, action, and service. Recognized acts of service can include participating in community clean-ups, supporting local nonprofits, mentoring students, helping at schools, or assisting a neighbor. Organizers noted it is not too late for community members to record their hours to recognize the service occurring across the area.
