Food security is an important issue for many families in our community. To help address this need, I am working with community partners to host Canned with Care. Join me for a fun, hands-on community event all about preserving food! Learn new skills, ask questions, and discover ways to make fresh food last longer through:

Canning Demonstrations

Watch, learn, and get inspired. Demonstrations will be taught by Utah State University Extension Professors.

Food Preservation Resources

Explore helpful tools, recipes, tips, and information you can use at home.

Community Connection

Meet neighbors and others interested in preserving food, reducing waste, and sharing knowledge.

Thursday, September 10

5-8 p.m.

Friday, September 11

10 a.m.–1 p.m.

5–8 p.m.

Saturday, September 12

10 a.m.–1 p.m.

2–5 p.m.

Location: The Square Kitchen (751 W 800 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84104)

Ages 16 and up are welcome to participate! RSVP is encouraged.

Participants must wear closed-toe shoes. Hair must be tied back. Hats are acceptable. Participants can bring their own tomatoes.
