The Washington County Roads Department announced chip-sealing work scheduled for Gunlock Road and Old Highway 91. According to a public notice, these projects are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Chip-sealing on Gunlock Road between Veyo and Old Highway 91 was scheduled for September 14th through September 24th, 2026. During this period, motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Work on Old Highway 91 was scheduled from Mile Marker 16 to the Ivins/Shivwits boundary at Mile Marker 20 from September 28th through October 1st, 2026. This section of the road was also expected to experience delays of up to 15 minutes between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Officials advised drivers to reduce speeds to 25 MPH when loose chips are present on the road to avoid windshield damage.
