Syracuse High School scheduled an AmeriCUSE homecoming football game against Alta that was to feature special tributes for America's 250th birthday and the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The event was set to include a Blackhawk fly-over and a parachuter at halftime.
According to a notice from Syracuse High Athletics, the game was scheduled for 7 pm with gates opening at 6 pm. The event was planned to include fireworks, a special announcement by actor Kevin James, and performances by Dance Line, Cheer, and Dance Company. Other scheduled activities included the presentation of homecoming royalty and a tribute for an active duty member of Syracuse High.
Tickets for the game were to be purchased only through dsdgives. Admission costs were listed as $12 for adults and $8 for students, with no cash sales available.
