Herriman City has issued notice regarding fireworks restrictions for the period of July 22-25. Fireworks are permitted in specific areas of the city, and a map detailing these locations is available at herriman.gov/fireworks.
Additionally, city offices will be closed on Friday, July 24, in observance of Pioneer Day.
The city has recently completed several community projects and celebrations. The Herriman Community Center recently held its grand opening following a remodel.
In transportation and recreation news, the Midas Creek Trail Extension has opened, which includes a new pedestrian bridge. The City Council also recently held a meeting on July 8, 2026, where they honored the Herriman High School boys track team.
Looking ahead, Herriman City is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive. Upcoming scheduled events include several Hungry Herriman dates throughout July and August, as well as Planning Commission meetings on August 5 and August 19.
