The Highland Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, to conduct a regular session and public hearings, according to a notice posted September 17.
The meeting is set to begin at 7:00 PM at the Highland City Council Chambers, located at 5400 West Civic Center Drive in Highland. The session will be led by Chair Christopher Howden, with Commissioner Sherry Kramer providing the invocation and Commissioner Audrey Moore leading the pledge of allegiance.
Among the action items for the session is a public hearing and ordinance regarding a proposed legislative development agreement with LIHAI, LLC. This agreement would facilitate an assisted living project within the Skye Estates PD commercial subdistrict, specifically on the lot south of the clubhouse. Rob Patterson, City Attorney/Planning & Zoning Administrator, is slated to present the item.
Additionally, the commission will hold a public hearing regarding a text amendment for building height regulations as part of a Development Code update. This item will also be presented by Patterson.
