The Salem City Council scheduled a meeting for September 2, 2026, according to a August 28 notice.
The meeting is set to begin with a work session at 6:30 p.m. to discuss road impact fees and other agenda items before transitioning into a regular council meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The regular meeting agenda includes the swearing in of Officer Cole Archuleta and a decision regarding a resolution to designate September 6-12, 2026, as First Responders Week in Salem City. The council will also consider resolutions for ratifying the creation of SC Public Infrastructure District Nos. 1 and 2, and supporting an amended Project Area Plan for the Pony Express Inland Port Utah Inland Port Authority Project Area.
Other decisions on the agenda include software for the Fire Department, a change order for Loafer Soccer restrooms, and restroom facilities for the Salem Pond boat dock. The meeting will also address the approval of meeting minutes from August 19, 2026, and various bills for payment.
The meeting will feature reports from several city directors and council members, including Mayor Cristy Simons and Councilmembers Tim De Graw, Cynthia Deveraux Rees, Paul Taylor, Craig Sacco, and Delys Snyder.
