Centennial Middle School is welcoming several new educators to its faculty for the upcoming school year. The school expressed excitement in introducing the new staff members to students, faculty, and the community.
The new mathematics faculty includes Ashleigh Borders, who earned a degree in Mathematics Education from Utah Valley University, and Steven Russo, who recently completed a Master's Degree through WGU and previously taught at West Jordan Middle School.
Joining the English Language Arts department are Brooke Farnsworth, who is attending BYU; Elena Robinson, a UVU graduate with a degree in English Education; and Rebecca Stoddard, a first-year teacher who holds a master's degree in secondary education and previously worked as an instructor for SkyWest Airlines.
Science will be taught by Chantelle Gimenez. The Physical Education and Health department welcomes Keli Brotherson, entering her third year of teaching, and Mickey Strauss, a BYU alumnus from Provo.
The school's specialized services will also include Madeline Thornton, who recently graduated from the University of Utah with a master's degree in speech-language pathology.
Centennial Middle School has scheduled a Back-to-School Event for Monday, August 17, from 4:00pm. The first day of school is set for Wednesday, August 19.
