The Park City Community Foundation announced June 23, 2026, that Summit County Clubhouse is one of three finalists for its annual Women's Giving Fund high-impact grant. The foundation will distribute a total of $150,000 among the three selected organizations during an upcoming Grant Celebration at Legacy Lodge.
Grant Finalists and Proposals
The high-impact grant, valued at $90,000, will be awarded to one of the three finalists, while the remaining two organizations will each receive $30,00 and. The final selection follows a period where Women's Giving Fund members were invited to cast their votes for the top prize through July 12.
Summit County Clubhouse submitted a proposal to use the funds to expand its daily program capacity to serve more women. The organization also plans to increase emergency housing assistance and support transitional housing placements for women transitioning out of homelessness or inpatient care and treatment.
Supporting Local Families
The other two finalists for the 20 %2026 funding include PC READS and the St. Mary's Catholic Church Charitable Assistance Program. PC READS intends to use its portion of the funds for advocate staffing, dyslexia screenings, professional development, and expanded outreach to underserved and Spanish-speaking families.
The St. Mary's Catholic Church Charitable Assistance Program plans to provide direct financial housing assistance to between 90 and 180 local households to help residents avoid eviction and maintain stable housing.
Community Impact and Need
Chantal Guadarrama, the Women's Giving Fund Steering Committee Chair, stated that the finalists are performing work that is urgent and deeply rooted in the community. She noted that the fund provides the ability to direct significant dollars toward organizations performing essential daily work.
The St. Mary's Catholic Church program, which serves residents of Summit and Wasatch Counties, manages a high volume of requests for aid including food, diapers, clothing, and financial assistance. The church's charity department, led by Director of Charity Maria Villar, provides support for overdue essential bills and rent based on available budget resources.
Growth of the Fund
The Women's Giving Fund is a program of the Park City Community Foundation that includes more than 2,400 members. Since 2015, the fund has granted $658,000 to 14 different organizations, a figure expected to rise to $808,000 following this year's announcement.
Each member of the fund contributes at least $1,000, which helps grow an endowment intended to provide grants from earnings in perpetuity. The fund has addressed various local issues including maternal and child healthcare, affordable daycare, bilingual mental health counseling, and housing for victims of domestic violence.
Upcoming Grant Celebration
The annual Grant Celebration is scheduled to take place on July 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Legacy Lodge in Park City. The event will officially announce the high-impact grantee.
The celebration is supported by sponsors including Park City Mountain, CVMA, and the Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation.
