Provo High has officially made history by winning the first-ever UHSAA Esports State Championship. Competing at Weber State University, the school's varsity teams secured the overall state championship title by finishing with the highest combined points.
The achievement follows a strong performance from the Mario Kart, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. varsity teams during the inaugural State Championship Finals.
The Rocket League team completed an exciting run to the finals, earning a second-place finish following a six-game battle against Summit Academy.
In the Mario Kart competition, the team earned a second-place finish against Sky View despite competing with one player fewer than required for the championship match.
The collective performance of all three teams allowed Provo High to bring home the inaugural trophy. The school recognized the milestone moment, offering congratulations to the players and coaches for their achievement.
