The City of St. George scheduled a public meeting for October 1, 2026, to receive community feedback regarding the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), according to a September 1 statement.
The meeting was scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at 61 South Main, St. George. The CAPER serves as a financial and public benefit summary of how the city uses federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. This report evaluates how the city utilized these federal funds during the previous program year to meet priorities identified in the 2025 Annual Action Plan. It also assesses how the city uses other resources to optimize federal funding to meet community needs and priorities.
A preliminary version of the 2025 CAPER was slated for public review and comment between September 15, 2026, and October 1, 2026. Documents were available online at www.sgcityutah.gov, at the City Community Development Department, and at the St. George City Library located at 88 W 100 S, St. George, UT 84770.
The city intended to present the CAPER to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) around October 2, 2026.
