The 2026 Draper Days Rodeo has reached full capacity, with the City of Draper confirming that tickets for the July 10 and 11 performances at Ballard Arena are officially sold out. The event features professional competitions through the Rocky Mountain Professional Rodeo Association, including bull $“bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, and saddle bronc riding.
Warning Against Ticket Scammers
The City of Draper issued a warning to attendees regarding ticket fraud following reports of individuals attempting to enter the arena with fraudulent tickets purchased from unofficial online sellers. Officials advised the public to avoid scammers and not to trust any sources other than official channels for entry.
Arena Logistics and Weather
For those attending the July 10 and 11 events, the city recommends arriving at least one hour before the 7:30 p.m. start time to allow for parking and seating. The rodeo is held at Ballard Arena, located at 1600 E Highland Drive, where gates open at 6:30 p.m.
As an outdoor, open-air venue, the rodeo operates rain or shine. However, the city noted that patrons will be required to take shelter in their vehicles in the event of severe weather, with performances scheduled to resume once conditions clear.
Wild Cow Milking Competition
Beyond professional rodeo events, the festivities include a Wild Cow Milking Competition. The team-based event requires participants to milk enough into a bottle to prove success, with registration costs set at $120 per team. Winning teams are eligible to receive commemorative America250 belt buckles.
Draper Days Schedule
The Draper Days celebration, which includes events at Draper City Park, runs through July 18, 2026. While the rodeo is a primary attraction, the broader festival schedule includes various community activities and attractions scheduled throughout mid-July.
Event Regulations
The City of Draper has established a designated free speech zone to allow advocates to communicate messages to rodeo participants and attendees while maintaining crowd control and traffic safety. Prohibited items at the arena include alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, weapons, dogs, and chairs with legs.
