The Bountiful City Council is scheduled to hold a work session and a regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, according to a notice published Sept. 17. The meeting will take place at Bountiful City Hall, located at 795 South Main Street.
The evening will begin with a work session at 6:00 p.m. focused on a discussion regarding public safety investigation methodology with Chief Edward Biehler. The regular session is slated to follow at 7:00 p.m.
Items on the regular meeting agenda include the consideration of several expenditures and ordinances. The council will consider approving expenditures greater than $1,000 paid on Sept. 2 and Sept. 9, 2026, as well as July 2026 financial reports. Additionally, the council will consider Ordinance 2026-08, regarding land use code text amendments for detached accessory dwelling units, and Ordinance 2026-09, concerning the Planning Commission Code and Rules of Order and Procedure.
Other agenda items include the consideration of a modified pedestrian crossing at 400 North and 200 East, the Echo Transmission line operation, and the purchase of vehicle chassis and service bodies. The council also plans to recognize John Cook as a recipient of the JustServe and America 250 Heart of Service Medallions for his service with the BCYC.
The public is invited to attend the open meetings at City Hall. A link to view the meeting online will be available on the Bountiful City website approximately one hour before the start of the meeting.
