Murray City School District announced that fall semester parent-teacher conferences are scheduled to begin the week of September 20, 2026. These face-to-face meetings serve as a way for parents and teachers to team up to support student success.
The district provided a schedule for the upcoming conferences. Riverview Jr. High and Hillcrest Jr. High Schools are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21. Murray High School is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22. District elementary schools are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 24. Parents should check with individual schools for specific meeting times, room assignments, or online sign-up links.
There will be no school for students on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, to provide teachers with a compensatory day for the late evening hours spent meeting with families. The district noted that the spring 2027 conferences are scheduled for the week of February 7, 2027.
The district highlighted research regarding the impact of parental involvement on student outcomes. A review of 448 studies by the American Psychological Association found a link between parental involvement and higher student test scores, grades, and motivation. Additionally, students with regularly involved parents maintain an average attendance rate of 98%, and students receiving regular academic support at home are 34% less likely to drop out of school.
