The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has completed improvements to State Route 30 in Cache County. The project, located between 6000 West (SR-23) and 10th West (SR-252), was intended to enhance safety, support growth, and improve mobility for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
According to project details, the work included road widening, bridge and utility upgrades, intersection improvements, and the addition of a new trail. The project was completed on August 5, 2026.
In the urban segment between 1000 West and 1900 West, the number of travel lanes was increased to four, with two in each direction. This segment also features a 14-foot-wide center turn median and 12-foot-wide shoulders.
The rural segment between 1900 West and SR-23 includes the addition of a 14-foot-wide median with a median barrier. This area also features 12-foot-wide shoulders that allow for bicycle use throughout the entire segment.
A 12-foot wide trail for bicycles and pedestrians was added to the south side of SR-30 to provide access to the PacifiCorp recreation area at Cutler Marsh.
