Independence High School has announced several upcoming events and schedule changes for the end of the school year. A senior banquet is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, at 6:00 pm at Independence High School for all seniors and any graduating juniors.
The final week of school will follow a modified schedule. Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, will maintain a regular schedule. On Wednesday, May 20, students will have an early dismissal at 12:30 pm.
Thursday, May 21, also includes an early out at 12:30 pm. Graduation practice is set for 10:00 am that day. The graduation ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm on the field behind IHS. Graduates are required to be at IHS no later than 6:25 pm to line up and prepare.
On Friday, May 22, students will participate in a Provo Rec Center Day from 8:30 am to noon. IHS will provide school sack lunches for students at the Provo Rec Center.
The bus is scheduled to return to IHS at noon. While students may choose to stay at the Rec Center, those students must provide their own transportation home.
