A new smoothie and acai bowl chain was scheduled to open its first Utah location in Herriman on Sept. 15, according to a September 11 report. Juice It Up is expanding into Utah as the eighth state in its nationwide expansion plan.
The Herriman location at Copper View Plaza, located at 5101 W. Miller Crossing Drive, is being developed by franchise partners Aaron and Nancy Osmond. Aaron Osmond, a former member of the Utah Senate, stated that the company's brand matched what he and his wife were looking to bring to the Herriman and South Jordan areas. He noted that the brand's 30-year history and existing sites across the West Coast, Arizona, and Texas influenced their decision.
Nancy Osmond, a registered nurse with a background in nutrition and wellness, said the brand provides convenient and enjoyable options for families, students, athletes, and professionals. The Osmonds expressed interest in bringing a brand that offers better-for-you options to the community. The new location was expected to employ between 16 and 20 people upon opening.
Juice It Up specializes in smoothies, juices, and bowls, and was among the first national brands to introduce acai bowls to mainstream audiences in 2001. The company currently has 30 new locations in its development pipeline.
