Wasatch is currently observing Teacher Appreciation Week, with school leadership expressing gratitude to teachers and staff members for their expertise and contributions. The week also marks the beginning of end-of-year testing for several grade levels.
Students in grades 3 through 6 are scheduled to take the RISE ELA assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday. In conjunction with this testing, the school is focusing on hallway expectations as part of its BARK initiative, encouraging students to remain quiet and respectful in common areas.
Several field trips are scheduled for the week, including a second-grade trip to Hogle Zoo on Monday and a first-grade trip to the Aquarium on Tuesday. Additionally, the Friday schedule includes the Wasatch Rangers Club and RISE make-up testing sessions.
The school's weekly meeting schedule remains in effect, including SpEd Team meetings and Operations Team meetings on Monday, Student Success Team meetings on Wednesday, and Grade Level Team PLC meetings on Friday. Note that there is no Para Meeting scheduled for this week.
Looking ahead to late April and May, the school has a busy calendar featuring the Battle of the Books celebrations, the RISE Science assessment, and a retirement reception for Shari Payne on April 30.
