The Cottonwood Heights Planning Commission was scheduled to convene for a work session and business session on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, according to a Aug. 27 notice. The meeting was set to take place at Cottonwood Heights City Hall located at 2277 E. Bengal Blvd.
The scheduled work session at 5:00 p.m. included a review of the business session agenda and a discussion regarding the Old Mill Demolition.
The 6:00 p.m. business session included several public hearings to review requests for possible recommendations to the City Council. One request by Alex Fleischman (AWA) involves rezoning approximately 1.98 acres of property at 7030 S. Park Centre Dr. from an Office, Research and Development Zone to a Regional Commercial Zone.
Another public hearing was scheduled for an applicant-initiated zoning text amendment to modify CHMC Chapter 19.40 regarding development standards in the Regional Commercial Zone.
Additionally, the commission was scheduled to review a request by Jordan and Brooke Brady to amend the General Plan Land Use Map and rezone approximately 1.11 acres of property at 2196 E. 6450 S. from a Rural Residential Zone to a Residential Single-Family Zone. Jordan Brady also submitted a request for a subdivision plat amendment to amend the existing Brady Woods Subdivision and record it as the South Brady Subdivision to create three single-family residential lots fronting onto South.
The commission's meetings were to be broadcast on the city's YouTube channel. The next Planning Commission meeting was scheduled for Oct. 7, 2026.
