The Heber Valley Chamber of Commerce reported a surge in community engagement and membership growth in 2026, welcoming 27 new members since the beginning of the year. The organization is leveraging increased attendance at mixers and luncheons to build local business connections and foster regional partnerships.
Growth in Community Engagement
The Chamber reported that consistent participation in local events is yielding significant results for the business community. According to a March 2026 director's letter, more than 325 people attended the first four Chamber mixers held earlier this year. Additionally, 160 individuals participated in the first two Chamber luncheons, and 30 people took part in the Donuts with the Director event held in February.
Upcoming Community Expo
In addition to membership increases, the Chamber is planning several large-scale initiatives to expand its reach. The fourth annual Ask Heber Valley Community Expo, presented by the Heber Valley Railroad, is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at the Wasatch County Recreation Center. The event is expected to run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is anticipated to draw over 1,000 attendees. The expo will feature more than 70 local business vendors, and organizers plan to provide free hot dogs and drinks to all attendees, along with free tote bags for the first 200 families.
Strategic Local Partnerships
The Chamber is also focusing on strategic partnerships to address specific local needs. In a letter from October 2025, the Chamber emphasized the importance of working with established organizations to serve different sectors of the valley. Key partners include the Community Alliance for Main Street (CAMS) in Heber City and the Midway Business Alliance (MBA) in Midway.
Regional Business Support
The Chamber noted that CAMS has been active for nearly 20 years, focusing on advocating for and enriching the downtown Heber City corridor. CAMS plays a role in guiding policy with elected officials and organizing events along Main Street. Similarly, the Midway Business Alliance began as a networking group and has grown into an organization that executes events in downtown Midway to stimulate business growth and provide a voice for Midway leadership.
Valley-Wide Mission
While CAMS and MBA focus on specific urban areas, the Chamber maintains a broader mission. The Chamber's strategy involves focusing on valley-wide initiatives to attract visitors and encourage resident participation. This includes providing resources, training opportunities, and engaging in policy discussions that impact the entire Heber Valley region.
Summer Community Presence
Throughout the summer months, the Chamber plans to maintain high visibility through various community activities. These include Member Mixers, Chamber Lunches, a Golf Tournament, and an Ice Cream Social. The Chamber team also maintains a weekly presence at the Heber Market on Main, operating a booth on the south end of the park near the food trucks to interact directly with residents.
Community Pride Initiatives
To foster community pride, the Chamber is promoting 'I love Heber Valley, Utah' t-shirts. The organization intends to use these shirts to encourage residents to show their commitment to the community's future. The Chamber has also indicated that individuals wearing the shirts at local events, such as the Heber Market on Main, may receive special prizes.
