Dr. Sean Edwards, Principal of Centennial Middle School, has expressed excitement for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year in a recent message to families. As the new year approaches, the school prepares to welcome back 8th grade students and incoming 7th grade Timberwolves.
This academic year marks a significant milestone for Centennial Middle School as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. To commemorate three decades of history, the school's student t-shirts will feature the phrase Celebrating 30 Years.
Dr. Edwards noted that while students are on summer break, many teachers have already been at CMS collaborating and planning for the upcoming year. The principal credited the dedication of these educators in creating meaningful learning experiences.
The theme for both the school and district this year is Ignite the Magic. This theme focuses on students igniting the magic of learning, teachers providing purposeful instruction, and the community working toward academic excellence.
