The Summit County Fair has announced the schedule and requirements for 2026 4-H exhibit entries. All projects must be entered by August 4 at 8:00 p.m., and all youth and leaders must be registered for 4-H to participate in any fair entries.
Premiums from all awarded exhibits will not exceed $35 per person, excluding the Jr. Livestock Show. A strict deadline is in place requiring all premiums to be picked up by 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The schedule for 4-H exhibit entry begins Tuesday, August 4, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Judging will take place on Wednesday, August 5, though the event will be closed to the public and no entries will be accepted on that day.
Exhibits will be open to the public during the following times:
Thursday, August 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday, August 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the premium booth open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 8, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the premium booth open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Exhibits are scheduled for release to the public on Monday, August 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Summit County Fair will not be responsible for exhibits left after 6:30 p.m. unless prior arrangements have been made.
To enter projects, participants should download the Utah 4-H Fairbook and visit countyfair.usu.edu. Users must log in using their Zsuite username under the 4H Volunteers & Club Leaders section. If a user has not registered through 4h.zsuit.org, they will not have access.
When adding entries, participants should select the appropriate child's name and enter the correct Lot number. Only one project is permitted per lot. For Cloverbud participants in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, all entries are placed in Division FD - Cloverbuds (K-2) and Lot 1.
Projects can be brought to the Ledges Event Center on Monday, August 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., or Tuesday, August 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Organizers noted that participants do not need to print tags, as tags will be provided at drop off.
Exhibits selected for the state fair should reflect judges' suggestions and improvements. For food exhibits, most items may need to be remade and can be frozen if necessary.
The 4-H office will handle the transportation of 4-H exhibits to the state fair.
