The Moab Library is inviting the community to participate in an all-ages summer reading challenge. Participants can track their reading time from June 1 through July 31 to earn tickets for various prize drawings.
To enter, residents can download the free Reader Zone app using Grand County's summer reading code f8616, pick up a paper reading log at the library, or sign up online.
Participants who earn tickets can stop by the Moab Library to collect them and drop them into the prize drawings they wish to enter. For those in Castle Valley, library staff can be reached at 435-259-1111 to assist with redeeming and assigning tickets.
Adult summer reading participants have the opportunity to win one of six prizes. Available prizes include $50 gift certificates to Back of Beyond Books for two winners, two Adult VIP passes to Moab Giants, and two Adult tickets to the Moab Museum for two winners.
Other available prize bundles include a Cosmo the Library Cat Swag Bundle featuring a canvas tote bag, enamel mug, postcards, and a choice of a T-shirt or tank top. Additionally, there is a Deluxe Gardening Bundle containing tools, an apron, a Hori Hori knife, and a $50 gift certificate to Wildland Scapes plant nursery. A Deluxe Rockhounding Bundle is also offered, which includes a tool kit, a mini microscope with smartphone clip, a guide to rocks, gems and minerals of the Southwest, and Utah rock, mineral and fossil collecting rules.
