The Herriman City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Sept. 16, 2026, to consider a proposal to amend the city's General Plan and Future Land Use Map, according to a September 4 notice.
The hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers located at 5355 W. Herriman Main Street. The commission will review a recommendation to change the designation of property near 7282 W. Herriman Main Street from Neighborhood Commercial to Neighborhood Residential Two, or an equivalent designation that supports residential development. The applicant for this change is Herriman City, and the property consists of approximately 5.3 acres. The proposal involves a density of 4.0 to 8.0 dwelling units per gross acre.
