The Herriman City Council scheduled a regular session to include a work meeting and a general meeting. The session was slated to begin at 5:00 PM at the City Council Chambers located at 5355 West Herriman Main Street.
The work meeting portion of the session included a review of the agenda, discussions regarding future agenda items, and discussions on future citizen recognitions. Administrative reports were also scheduled, including discussions involving Herriman History Park and Dansie House, as well as the city's secondary water system and future planning.
The general meeting was scheduled for 7:00 PM and included a public hearing for a resolution to amend the fiscal year 2027 City of Herriman budget. Other items on the agenda included the review and approval of the July 2026 financial summary and a parental leave benefit policy.
The council was scheduled to consider several discussion and action items, such as an amendment to the Herriman City Zoning Map for a property located at 13727 S 7300 West. Additionally, the council was set to review a Master Development Agreement for the Black Clover Holdings property located at 5200 W Herriman Boulevard.
Other scheduled considerations included an interlocal agreement regarding the withdrawal of Herriman City from the Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District, a franchise agreement with Waste Management of Utah, Inc, and a resolution to adopt a Wildland Urban Interface Area Map.
The city council may recess into closed sessions to discuss matters such as professional competence, pending litigation, or the purchase and lease of real property.
