Edgemont is continuing RISE testing this week and will complete the final RISE test. Acadience testing is also ongoing throughout the week.
School officials requested that parents ensure children arrive on time and ready for testing days.
The Edgemont Art Show, which was organized by Mrs. Kane, is scheduled for Monday evening.
Other activities for the week of April 27 include 1st grade Acadience Math testing on Monday and 3rd grade Acadience reading testing on Tuesday. For students in grades 4 through 6, Science RISE testing is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday morning, with make-up sessions occurring Friday.
On Monday, the school schedule includes 5th grade Hope of America practice at 3:20 pm and a STEM Family night committee meeting at 3:30 pm. Friday features SOAR assemblies for K-3 at 9:00 am and for grades 4-6 at 9:30 am.
Looking ahead, National Teacher Appreciation week and the NWEA Reading testing window both begin May 4. Upcoming events include the Edgemont STEM family night on May 4, the 5th grade Hope of America performance at the Marriott Center on May 5, and Edgemont Family Skate Night on May 7.
Later in the month, the school will host a talent show tryout period starting May 13, a 5K on May 19, and Field Day on May 20. The school term ends on May 22 with kindergarten graduation and an early dismissal at 1:30 pm.
