The International Society has announced its 35th annual conference, themed Becoming One: Addressing Global Disparity. The event is set to take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Hinckley Center Assembly Hall on the BYU campus.
The conference aims to examine how nations can find common ground amidst widening disparities in areas such as health, education, income, agriculture, security, technology, and climate conditions. The program will specifically explore hotspots within the global Church that impact unity among members.
The conference schedule includes keynote addresses from Elder Edward Dube, General Authority Seventy, and Mark Ott, the inaugural dean of the BYU Medical School. The program will also feature a welcome by BYU President Shane Reese and a theme introduction by David Kirkham.
Other scheduled presentations include Viva Bartkus, a Notre Dame professor and member of the Catholic Relief Services Board of Directors, and David Rutley, a former member of Parliament from the UK. A panel discussion will feature John Wilson of Succeed in School, Romanna Remor of the Roble del Sur Foundation, and Brian Ashton of BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
The event also includes the presentation of the International Society Distinguished Service Award during a luncheon.
Registration options for the conference include paid registration, which provides access to the sessions and the luncheon, as well as free registration for attending sessions in the Hinckley Center Assembly Hall. A free livestream option is available for those located outside of Provo.
Attendees should note that lunch registration closes on Monday, March 31 at noon. For those attending in person, visitor parking is located near the Museum of Art or the J. Reuben Clark Law School, though parking directly across from the Hinckley Center will not be available.
