The Town of Mantua scheduled a special public meeting and listening sessions for Saturday, August 22, according to an August 21 notice. The event was set to take place at Maple Springs Park to discuss a proposed state park project.
The meeting, which was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., consisted of four identical, repeating one-hour listening sessions starting at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. Residents could attend the single hour most convenient to them. No formal legislative action or voting was planned during these sessions.
The agenda included a presentation by a Utah Division of State Parks representative regarding the proposed Mantua State Park Project. This presentation was intended to provide an overview of site development plans, facilities, traffic management, and recreational updates.
Following the presentation, an open floor was provided for public input and a Q&A session. This allowed residents to ask questions, share feedback, and voice concerns regarding the proposed state park.
The meeting was scheduled to conclude with information regarding community survey distribution and upcoming Town Council review dates before final adjournment at 2:00 p.m.
