Spring Creek Elementary Principal Jay Porter has sent home a questionnaire to parents to gather information for the creation of class lists next Friday. The document is intended to provide necessary information regarding students to ensure the best possible placement, rather than serving as a request for specific teachers.
For more significant matters that require discussion, parents can call the school to receive a link to a form where concerns can be voiced. Once submitted, these forms are reviewed by the principal for follow-up discussions.
The school is also celebrating the retirement of three teachers: Mrs. Denise Johnson, Mrs. Suzanne Martinez, and Miss Linda Rossiter. A retirement open house will be held in the Spring Creek Library on Monday, May 4th, from 3:45 to 4:45 pm.
In addition to school-specific news, a community meeting regarding Provo Peaks Elementary is scheduled for Monday, May 4th, at 6:00 pm. Hosted by the Provo City School Board, this meeting will address boundary changes and possible school closures. An additional community meeting is scheduled for Amelia Earhart Elementary on May 14th at 6:00 pm.
RISE testing for 3rd through 6th grades continues this week, with math testing scheduled for Tuesday, May 5th. School officials are encouraging students to attend daily and prioritize sleep and breakfast to support focus.
Other upcoming items on the school calendar include a 4th and 5th grade formal dinner at Los Hermanos-Provo on May 8th, an evacuation drill on May 11th, and various concerts for 6th grade students between May 13th and May 14th.
