Toquerville City has issued a resolution declaring September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week, according to a resolution passed on August 19, 2026.
The proclamation, proposed by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Color Country Chapter, recognizes the anniversary of the drafting of the United States Constitution.
The resolution marks the 239th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 2026.
Mayor Dan Catlin issued the proclamation, which asks citizens to reaffirm the ideals of the Framers of the Constitution from 1787 and to protect the freedoms guaranteed by the document.
