HERRIMAN, Utah — Utah Royals FC announced on Friday, July 31, 2026, that midfielder Aria Nagai has been loaned to Dallas Trinity FC through the remainder of the 2026 season.
Nagai has recorded 21 appearances and 675 minutes played for the Royals during her professional NWSL career. During the 2026 campaign, the midfielder has made five appearances and earned one start, totaling 93 minutes of play.
Nagai joined the Utah Royals as a non-roster trialist before the 2025 season and officially signed with the club on March 4th. Her professional debut occurred on April 25th against the Houston Dash, and she earned her first professional start on July 29th against the Orlando Pride.
Before joining the Royals, Nagai played three seasons for the Princeton Tigers from 2021 to 2023, making 55 appearances and scoring two goals. She also played for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2024 as a graduate transfer, where she started 27 games and scored three goals.
Nagai joins Dallas Trinity FC, a club entering its third season under USL Dallas ownership. The USLW club finished fourth during the 2026 season with an 11-10-7 record and 28 points. Dallas Trinity FC plays its home matches at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas.
