Grades 3 through 6 at Wasatch will participate in the RISE Math assessment this Tuesday and Wednesday. To support student success, officials recommend ensuring students receive adequate rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time.
In addition to testing, the week features an Art Show Open House from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The school's BARK focus for the week is hallways. Students are expected to walk and maintain silent voices or whisper only when necessary, which is noted as especially important during testing periods. Pawsome tickets will be awarded for following these hallway expectations.
Other scheduled activities for the week include a 6th grade K-6 music assembly on Thursday morning and a fire/evacuation drill. On Friday, the school has several events including the Wasatch Rangers Club, BARK assemblies for grades K-3 and 4-6, RISE makeup testing, and a 6th grade field trip to Springville Service.
Library deadlines are approaching, with Thursday being the last day to check out library books and submit STAR, Caldecott, and Great Brain materials. All library books are due by May 14.
Looking ahead to the following week, several field trips are scheduled, including visits to This Is the Place for 4th grade, the BYU Museum of Art for 2nd grade, JA City for 5th grade, and the BYU Bean Museum for 1st grade. A band/orchestra concert is also set for May 12.
The school year will conclude with several end-of-year events, including a graduation ceremony for 6th grade on May 21 and the final day of school on May 22. The last day for the Wasatch Rangers Club is scheduled for May 15.
