The Logan Municipal Council scheduled a public hearing for September 1, 2026, to consider various carry forwards for fiscal year 2026, according to a August 18 statement.
The hearing is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Logan Municipal Council Chamber located at 290 North 100 West.
The proposed carry forwards cover a wide range of city services and infrastructure. Major items include water and sewer projects, such as $46,749,137 for water tanks and waterlines and $5,448,132 for wastewater capital improvements. The electric department has several projects listed, including $4,417,419 for various electric capital projects.
Other significant allocations include $3,655,312 for stormwater capital projects and $3,238,355 for general capital improvement projects. The city is also considering $3,238,355 for general capital improvement projects and $4,907,433 for curb, gutter, and street improvement projects. The Public Works facility is listed with a carry forward of $52,433,026.
The hearing will also address various grants and restricted revenues. Federal grants include $4,927,157 for the wastewater treatment facility BioMag expansion and $842,492 from the CDBG grant. State grants include $202,924 from the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant and $77,350 for a House Bill 23 police mental health grant.
Additionally, the council will review RAPZ reimbursement grants totaling $183,083 and various restricted revenues, including $6,000,000 for Class C street projects capital.
