Principal Jay Porter of Spring Creek Elementary expressed gratitude to parents who attended a recent meeting regarding school boundaries and potential closures. The meeting highlighted the importance of the school as a vital part of the community.

The Provo City School Board will host another community meeting at Franklin Elementary on Thursday, April 30, at 6:00 PM. This meeting will address boundary changes and possible school closures, providing an opportunity for residents to ask questions and share concerns before decisions are finalized.
Additional community meetings are scheduled for Provo Peaks Elementary on May 4 at 6:00 PM and Amelia Earhart Elementary on May 14 at 6:00 PM.
RISE testing for students in grades 3 through 6 is scheduled to begin. The testing schedule includes 5th Grade Writing on Monday, April 27, English Language Arts for grades 3-6 on Tuesday, April 28, and Science for grades 4-6 on Thursday, April 30. Math testing for grades 3-6 will take place on Tuesday, May 5.
School officials encourage students to attend every testing day, get adequate sleep, and eat a healthy breakfast to help demonstrate their learning growth.
Pre-registration for new students and Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year is available online. Parents may also use a computer in the front office by appointment if they do not have home access.
