The Big Water City Council scheduled a regular meeting for Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, according to a September 15 notice. The meeting is set to begin with a work session at 6:30 p.m., followed by a public hearing and a council meeting.
A public hearing is scheduled during the meeting regarding an ordinance to amend Title 15 of the Big Water Zoning Code. The proposed amendments concern the location and limited use of mobile homes, travel trailers, recreational vehicles, boats, camping trailers, truck campers, and motor homes. The ordinance would amend section 15.24.040 and add sections 15.24.045, 15.24.046, 15.24.047, and 15.24.048.
Other items on the agenda include discussion and possible action on creating a paleontology advisory position and a resolution to assign official street names to certain unnamed public roadways. The council will also discuss amending personnel policies regarding leave without pay and health insurance benefits, as well as drafting language for vendor use permits.
