The Copperton Town Council scheduled a meeting for September 16, 2026, at the Bingham Canyon Lions Club, according to a September 15 notice. The meeting is set to begin at 6:30 PM at 8725 Hillcrest St. in Copperton.
The council agenda includes several items for discussion and potential action. These include a proposal regarding dissolving the Community Council and the adoption of Ordinance 2026-O-04 to amend the fiscal year 2027 fee schedule. Additionally, the council will consider Ordinance 2026-O-02 to clarify landscaping exemptions for certain single and two-family dwellings and Ordinance 2026-O-05 to adopt an updated 2024 Wildland Urban Interface code.
Presentation items scheduled for the meeting include a quarterly financial report from Finance Director Daniel Hoffman. Also slated for presentation are a proposal for the Copper Canyon Conservatory and Botanical Garden by Tyler Loosli and the Bingham City Cemetery Preservation Project by Lori Jencks.
The meeting will also feature reports from various officials and council members, including representatives from the Unified Fire Authority and the Unified Police Department. Council members will provide updates on the Salt Lake County Animal Services, the South Salt Lake Valley Mosquito Abatement District, and the Wasatch Front Waste and Recycle district.
