Apple Valley Elementary has shared several updates regarding the upcoming school year and recent district activities. In a notice posted to the school's website, the Nebo School District is promoting a theme titled Be That Friend as the new school year approaches.
The Nebo School District's Be That Friend theme features Superintendent Rick Nielsen alongside Lindsey Hughes and Seth.
According to the school's website, several events were scheduled for the school calendar, including a PTA meeting and hearing screenings for grades K, 1, 3, and 5 on August 26. School pictures were scheduled for September 1, and preschool was scheduled to begin on September 2.
The school also highlighted previous community events, such as the Gear Up For School event held at Landmark High School on August 1, 2026. This event was hosted by Tabitha's Way and provided backpacks to school-aged children.
Additionally, the school celebrated the conclusion of the previous school year with an annual Red Carpet celebration.
Other scheduled items on the school calendar include a Spirit Night at Maracas on September 9 and a PTA General Board Meeting on September 9. The school community council is scheduled to meet on September 10.
