Wasatch has entered a busy week following Teacher Appreciation Week, with several academic assessments and school events scheduled through early May.
Grades 4-6 are scheduled to take the RISE Science test on Tuesday and Wednesday. School officials noted that students have worked hard this year and are prepared to demonstrate their learning.
The week includes various celebrations, such as the 3rd/4th grade Battle of the Books Celebration on Monday and the 5th/6th grade Battle of the Books Celebration on Tuesday.
A retirement reception for Shari Payne will be held in the Wasatch Gym on Thursday from 3:40 pm to 4:40 pm.
In recent news, Mrs. Nuttal's class achieved 100% attendance twice last week. The school's BARK focus for the current week continues to be the hallway.
Looking ahead, the RISE Math Assessment for grades 3-6 is scheduled for May 5-6. Other upcoming events include a Wasatch Art Show Openhouse on May 5 and a 6th Grade School-Wide K-6 Music Assembly on May 7.
Field trips are also planned for the coming weeks, including a 6th grade trip to Springville Service on May 8 and a 5th grade trip to JA City on May 13.
