The Farmington City Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on Oct. 8, 2026, to address several subdivision applications and a proposed zone text amendment, according to a notice published Oct. 2.
The meeting will begin with a study session at 6:30 PM, followed by a regular session at 7:00 PM at City Hall, located at 160 South Main, Farmington, Utah, in the Council Chambers.
The commission will consider two subdivision applications that do not require a public hearing. Luke Martineau has requested consideration of the Phoenix Way PUD Subdivision and Development Agreement, which involves 15 lots on approximately 7.9 acres of property within the existing AE (Agriculture Estates) zone. This project includes retaining three existing homes along Phoenix Way to create 12 new lots.
Additionally, David Bell and Charlie Rawlins are requesting preliminary plat approval for the Woodland Cove subdivision. This development includes 6 lots on approximately 1.04 acres of property located in the existing R-2-F (Multiple Family Residential-Foothill) zone.
A public hearing is scheduled to address a zone text amendment requested by Farmington City. The proposed amendment concerns Section 11-30, Foothill Development Standards, and seeks to set the maximum allowed impervious surface coverage of a lot to 35%.
During the meeting, the commission will also review and approve the minutes from the Sept. 3 and Sept. 17, 2026, Planning Commission meetings. Other business includes city council reports and upcoming items.
The meeting may be attended virtually via Zoom, with a link provided for live listening and electronic commenting. For matters involving public hearings, individuals wishing to address the commission will be recognized when the hearing is opened, with a three-minute time limit per person.
Electronic comments for public hearings must be sent to crowe@farmington.utah.gov by 5 PM on the day of the meeting. For individuals requiring special accommodations due to a disability, DeAnn Carlile, the City Recorder, should be contacted at least 24 hours in advance.
The meeting is scheduled to conclude by 8:00 PM, though no agenda item will begin after 10:00 p.m. without a unanimous vote from the commissioners. Items that are not heard may be carried over to the next regularly scheduled meeting.
