The Escalante Cemetery Maintenance District scheduled a public meeting for Sept. 14, 2026, at the Escalante City Council Chambers. The meeting was set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
According to an agenda posted to the city's website, scheduled items for the meeting include the adoption of a certified tax rate and the adoption of a cremation disinterment rate. The board was also slated to address a headstone request from Randy Church and a request to disinter the remains of Alfred Framptons.
The meeting agenda also included the adoption of the agenda, approval of the minutes from the June 1, 2026, regular meeting, and board reports. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals requiring special accommodations for the meeting were directed to notify Cemetery Secretary Nancy Porter at least 48 hours in advance.
The meeting was scheduled to take place at 65 N. Center in the Escalante City Council Chambers.
