The Annual Swiss Days Festival was scheduled to return to Midway on September 4 and September 5, 2026. Held in the Heber Valley, the event celebrates the Swiss heritage of the Midway community through artisan shopping, authentic cuisine, and live entertainment.
The festival featured an open-air market at Midway Town Square with more than 180 juried artisans and boutique vendors selling handcrafted goods, fine art, jewelry, and specialty foods. Surrounding Midway boutiques also participated by offering extended hours and hosting pop-up vendors, adding more than 30 local artisans to the shopping district.
Activities during the event included a Saturday morning parade, the Swiss Days 10K, a community chuckwagon breakfast, and a new barbecue dinner offered on Saturday. Admission to the festival was free, though organizers noted that dogs were not permitted due to crowds. To assist with navigation, families with infants or toddlers were encouraged to use baby carriers instead of strollers or wagons.
The event has been held for 79 years and serves as a signature Labor Day weekend celebration for the region. A free shuttle service was provided from designated parking areas to help manage traffic and provide access to the festival grounds.
