July rains improve soil moisture, but Moab’s surface water supply remains low

July monsoon storms brought southeastern Utah much more precipitation than usual and improved soil moisture. But as of Aug. 1, Ken’s Lake was still less than one-third full and Moab’s surface water supply remained historically low.
