The Pleasant Grove City Council approved an ordinance on September 15, 2026, to amend the city's official vicinity plan for a specific residential property, according to a notice published September 16.
Ordinance 2026-029 amends the vicinity plan for the property located at approximately 152 North 1400 East in the R1-20 single-family residential zone. Daniel Judd Wray is identified as the applicant for the request.
The city stated that the current vicinity plan for the property was impractical and not feasible due to grading elevation issues, the location of a Jordan River Aqueduct easement, and the inability for the city to provide services to the area.
The amendment follows a series of reviews by local officials. The Pleasant Grove City Planning Commission held a public hearing on August 27, 2026, and subsequently recommended the amendment to the City Council. The City Council held a public hearing regarding the request on September 15, 2026, and determined the amendment was in the best interest of the public and consistent with city goals and policies.
