The Pleasant Grove Historic Preservation Commission scheduled a meeting for Sept. 17, 2026, at the Old Town Hall, according to a notice published Sept. 16. The meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m. and conclude by 10 p.m.
The meeting agenda includes monthly check-in reports from several subcommittees. The preservation subcommittee, led by Chris Schow, will provide updates regarding a pins project, an ordinance proposal to Daniel Cardenas, and a National Trust opportunity. The community outreach subcommittee, led by Amy Wadley, will outline the status of an upcoming fall lecture titled Strange but True Stories from PG History.
Archives and history updates will also be discussed. Laurel Cunningham is writing scripts for storytellers for the fall lecture. Additionally, it was noted that the book They Came to Battle Creek was rolled out at the Heritage Festival, resulting in nine copies sold, which are now available at city hall. Total intake from the book sales table at the Heritage Festival was $316.
Other business items include a planned presentation to the city council's work session regarding the FY2026-2027 project list.
Upcoming scheduled events for the commission include a meeting on Oct. 15, a fall lecture on Oct. 26, a meeting on Nov. 19, and Victorian Christmas on Dec. 7. All these events are scheduled to take place at the Old Town Hall. Members may participate in meetings electronically.
