Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are currently in effect at Bear Lake State Park, prohibiting all open fires of any kind. This includes fires within established fire pits, charcoal grills, pellet grills, and any other ash-producing fuel.
Properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve remain allowed, provided they are used in an area at least three feet in diameter that is barren with no flammable vegetation.
Located in the Bear Lake Valley in Rich County, the park offers visitors opportunities for fishing, boating, camping, and hiking. The lake's notable aqua-blue color is created by calcium carbonate minerals suspended in the water.
Visitors can utilize three distinct recreation areas: Marina, Rendezvous Beach, and the Eastside. These areas provide various recreational opportunities such as picnicking and sandy beach access.
Updates regarding construction at the Bear Lake Marina are available through the park's official resources.
