The Herriman Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, according to a notice published August 27. The meeting will include a work session at 6:00 PM and a regular meeting starting at 7:00 PM at the City Council Chambers.
The work session is scheduled to take place in the Fort Herriman Conference Room. During this session, Planning Director Michael Maloy is slated to review City Council decisions and discuss Herriman City Land Use Development Standards to ensure compliance with the Utah Code. The staff will also review agenda items.
The regular meeting in the Council Chambers will include the approval of minutes from the August 5, 2026, Planning Commission meeting. Administrative items on the agenda include a request for a conditional use permit for a monument sign for Toscano at 12547 Herriman Auto Row and a site plan consideration for a commercial restaurant at 4948 W 12600 South.
The commission will also hold a public hearing regarding legislative items. This includes a recommendation to amend Title 10 of the Herriman City Code to comply with the Utah Municipal Land Use, Development, and Management Act. The proposed amendments involve regulations for accessory dwelling units and development standards for commercial, mixed-use, and manufacturing zoning districts.
All legislative items recommended during this meeting will be scheduled for a decision at the next available City Council meeting, which is scheduled for September 9, 2026.
