The Murray City School District Board of Education has issued a notice for a regular session to be held at 5:00 p.m. on April 2, 2026. The meeting will take place in the boardroom of the District Office located at 5102 S Commerce Drive, Building 1, in Murray, Utah.
According to the notice, the session will be broadcast live on the Murray City School District YouTube Channel.
The agenda includes an administrative appointment for Dr. Claustina Reynolds as the Principal of Murray High School. The Board will also review several items under a consent agenda, including the approval of minutes from March 12 and March 19, financial reports, and second readings for regulations regarding building rentals and a public education hotline.
Staff reports scheduled for the meeting include a recommendation for APEX (Catalyst) Center and future field house design services presented by Scott Taggart, Director of Support Services. Additionally, updates on bond projects and a comprehensive guidance report for Hillcrest Junior High School are on the agenda.
The Superintendent is scheduled to present first readings for several items related to the 2026-2027 school year. These include school fee requests for high school, junior high, and district/elementary levels, as well as overnight educational travel requests.
The Board will also review 2026-2027 School LAND Trust Plans and Student Success Plans (TSSA) for various schools, including Grant, Horizon, Liberty, Longview, McMillan, Parkside, Viewmont, Hillcrest Junior High, Riverview Junior High, and Murray High.
Board business items include the announcement of a posting for a Business Administrator and a discussion regarding the timeline for elementary closure and boundary realignment. A closed session is also scheduled to address personnel, property, and legal matters.
